I believe that architecture's power lies in its ability to tell a story - the story of a person, a culture, an ideology or a conviction. Like a novel or poem, architecture has the potential to act as a voice through which we can speak; a physical manifestation of our ideas. I try to express in my work - through representation and through writing - a perpetual and personal search for my own ideas about architecture and our world. I hope to utilize the language of architecture and its alphabet (drawings, models, diagrams, writings, and ultimately, environments) to tell my own stories and the stories of others.  

I believe this language can be found within the entirety of architectural (and human) experience - an approach that does not lie within any single stylistic or philosophical camp, but vacillates between the pragmatic and idealistic; the intellectual and phenomenal; and the global concept and the detail.
