ZERO-ENERGY DESIGN LAB
This project is a proposal for design labs and studios to support a new Sustainable Design program at the school of architecture. The addition itself was to have a net-zero carbon footprint. Because of the challenging Minnesota climate, several sustainable strategies were put in place to help reduce the footprint, including perforated trombe-walls, a circulation ribbon that has very little artificial conditioning, exterior roof gardens and operable exterior walls.
